At Homestead Building Systems, Inc., we are proud of the fact that the engineered lumber systems that we sell are environmentally friendly.  Our engineered wood products are produced using about half the wood fiber contained in traditional dimension lumber.  Additionally, our materials are not produced from “old growth” forests.  

Our products maximize lumber usage, minimize jobsite waste, and therefore lessen the carbon footprint by reducing the amount of delivery trips to the jobsite.

Our engineered wood products can add several points to your energy efficiency point ratings.  We support LEED, EarthCraft House, Energy Star, NAHB, and many other similar programs.
